wallpaper_exampleHow is the custom wallcovering installed?

Our wallcovering is installed just like any other standard wallpaper. We recommend a pre-mixed clear adhesive found at most home improvement or hardware stores.

Your image is scaled to full size, and then produced in panels to create the full image. Our wallcovering panels are roughly 4 ½ feet wide by however tall your wall is, which cuts down on seaming. We provide an inch of bleed around the perimeter of the image to ensure enough material for coverage, and add 2 inches of overlap between panels for double cutting.

The Vinyl wallcoverings have a protective liner that is peeled away to allow the permanent or repositionable adhesive to be attached to the wall.

What is double cutting?

This refers to the type of wallcovering installation where one panel of wallcovering is hung, and the next corresponding panel is overlapped over it (in our case 1 ½ inches). Then, a straight edge is applied and a blade cuts through both panels at the same time. The strips of waste are removed, and you’re left with the most invisible seem possible.

Can you help me locate a wallcovering installer?

WIA Our most trusted way to refer you to a local wallcovering installer is through the Wallcovering Installers Association.(click the icon to the right to their home page and installer database). Wallcovering installers who join the guild adhere to its strict policy of quality and professionalism. Another quality source for wallcovering installers is www.wallpaperinstaller.com, which is also an abundant and trusted resource for anything wallcovering related. WIA Installers We will help you with the installer’s contact information, however, all transactions and schedules for installation will be between you and the installer.

How long does the order process take?

Standard wall murals purchased on our site will ship within 7-10 days from order. For custom wall murals, from the time that we have final image approval as well as payment/shipping information, we’ll have your order shipped within 10-14 business days.

What file types are recommended for the best results?

Acceptable formats include:

  • EPS (Encapsulated Post Script AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • PDF (Adobe Reader PDF)
  • PSD (Adobe Photoshop)
  • JPG (High Resolution JPEG)
  • TIFF (High Resolution TIFF)
Depending on the resolution, PSD, JPG, TIFF files will get blurry when enlarged. Thumbnail JPGs or GIFs cannot be used for large prints. Also:
  • Be sure to convert all fonts to outlines or curves before sending the file
  • Please set the size of the proof in proportion to the exact size of the final banner's size
  • There's no need to include bleeds in the proof, unless it is a part of the graphic
  • All text should be at least two inches from the edge of the banner to allow for the grommets to be placed

What options do I have for hanging my banner?

The most common hanging techniques are using grommets every three to four feet from another—per industry standards, or pole-pockets, where a loop is sewn into the top and/or bottom, and/or sides to insert a pole through to keep the banner from sagging in the middle.

What is the difference between all these materials?

Corrugated Plastic "Coroplast" - Durable because it is water proof and resistant to stains and most chemicalst, allowing it to perform under adverse weather conditions. Wide range of colors. 4mm is a common thickness; 10mm is very heavy and rigid.

Foam Core - Extruded polystyrene foam core laminated on both sides with heavy white or black smooth coated paper. Designed for interior mounting applications requiring rigid, lightweight, and relatively inexpensive material. Typically, foam core is used for short-term usage.

Ultra Board - Heavy-duty, all-plastic panel that features a litho-grade, high-impact polystyrene surface for permanent displays and signs. Ultra Board is designed primarily for interior use, but can be used outdoors, and it is durable.

Aluminum Composite Material - Solid or corrugated plastic core with aluminum laminated to both surfaces. Extremely flat surface that will not warp or distort. Excellent durability in outdoor applications.

Styrene - Extruded high impact material used primarily as an indoor panel or for outdoor usage up to 1 year.

Expanded PVC - Expanded PVC is lightweight, rigid board with a low gloss matte finish. Will not rust, rot, peel, or absorb water. Suitable for display, exhibit, interior, or exterior signage and for photo mounting. This material can easily heat up thin (3mm or thinner) pieces and mold as needed. Sintra is popular brand name.

Magnetic Sheeting - Permanent magnetic sheet used primarily in vehicle magnetic signs. Vehicle magnetic signs are typically .030" thick and 18" x 24". However, the largest magnetic sheet available is 24" x 50".

Acrylic - Lightweight, high optical quality, high impact strength, and excellent weather ability. Ideal for backlit signage.

Polycarbonate - Lightweight, high impact strength and excellent weather ability, they come in clear and white. Primarily known by the trademarked names Lexan, Plexiglas and others. They are easily worked, molded, and thermoformed. Ideal for backlit signage.

How does you keep the brightness of color on clear materials?

By using a base of white ink, we can assure the color fidelity of the printed area, while keeping the non-printing area transparent

WINDOW GRAPHICS - VINYL WALL AND WINDOW CLINGS

Window Clings and Vinyl Wall Clings are popular in both residential and commercial settings. Residential applications include decorative patterns for both privacy and interior accents, as well as notices for solicitors and security systems. In commercial settings, the applications are endless from corporate to retail environments that communicate anything from store hours, sales and promotions, branded signs to product test marketing and divisional messaging.

Window Clings and Vinyl Wall Clings can have a number of different application criteria, including transparency (clear, frosted or opaque), viewing conditions (one or two sided for window or wall applications), adhesive based or static cling based, or permanent or temporary use. Listed below are some of the applications and materials we have successfully installed with our clients:

  • Adhesive Vinyl - for Temporary Wall Coverings, Retail Promotions, vehicle wraps, etc.
  • Floor Decals - for tile and most hard surface floors.
  • Perforated Window Clings- See through adhesive vinyl for store front windows and doors, vehicle wraps etc.
  • Static Cling - Non-adhesive vinyl for point of purchase displays, windows, glass doors and more.
  • Cut Adhesive Vinyl - for decals, glass doors, signage and more.

How is the adhesive vinyl laminated to the base material?

Using our DryTac laminator set to precise temperature and pressure settings, the laminated material is applied to the substrate you've chosen. Our experts in the finishing department meticulously inspect and assure your finished product meets the highest quality standards Trinity Graphic is known for.

How does lamination effect color?

Glossy lamination finishes tend to make prints look and feel more vibrant. Satin finishes prevent unwanted glare, which is important for trade show exhibits or backdrops being used on television or camera. Sorry, but lamination does not enhance the color.

How durable is the vinyl adhesive material and printing?

Generally adhesive vinyl applications are meant for indoor display and will last many years with the proper care and handling. Of course, we also make products using the adhesive vinyl for outdoor applications and generally we put a clear laminate over the surface for further protection.

How difficult is it to install the window graphic material?

installing window graphicsWith a little preparation and patience, installing window art can be done quite easily. Some larger laminates may require more than one person to install.

The PDF document on the right will give you step-by-step instructions to guide you through the Preparation, Installation, Maintenance and Removal steps. In addition, a short video was prepared by our production team to illustrate an actual window graphic installation.

CANVAS PRINTING

textile fine art banner

A canvas wall print is a popular way to add a personal signature to your home or office with custom photographs, illustrations, and artwork of your choice. Originally designed to print reproductions of paintings (giclées),wall art canvas is now widely used to print portraits and landscape photographs for a number of applications, including retail displays, and signs for museum or gallery exhibitions.

What type of print surface will best enhance your images?

A visible canvas texture can affect the look of the image. If you are reproducing softly colored impressionistic paintings that were originally created on a textured art canvas, then you may want the print to replicate that textured surface. But if you are printing portraits or landscape photographs on canvas, you might prefer a smooth canvas so facial skin tones look even and straight lines and fine details aren’t visually disrupted by a roughly textured surface.

Matte canvas surfaces are popular for photographs and displays because they don’t reflect glare from overhead lights. Matte canvases are also more versatile, because if you want your print to have a semi-gloss or glossy look, you can apply a semi-gloss or gloss clearcoat.

What type of printer and ink do you use?

Some inkjet canvases are designed for use with the aqueous pigment inks, like those used on our HP Latex 3000. Others can be printed with our permanent UV-cured inks that also give vibrant and detail color results.

How will the prints be finished?

Most inkjet canvas today is made from a blend of polyester and cotton. While inkjet canvas with a higher percentage of polyester might not feel as “natural” as a cotton canvas, the high-polyester canvas will be easier to stretch, will print more consistently, and will be more resistant to humid conditions. An all-cotton art canvas may expand or shrink depending on the environmental conditions.

“Production” canvases for higher volume reproduction of photographs are designed to dry quickly and stretch easily so they can be finished and delivered more quickly.

FLOOR GRAPHICS

gfloorOur printable flooring products are designed for second surface printing with both UV and solvent inks provides the ultimate in image protection. Printing directly to the product and mirroring the image for second surface viewing allows for greater durability and versatility than traditional vinyl floor graphics.

Bring the high-end look of hardwood, stone tile and custom epoxy into your home or business with our printed vinyl flooring solutions. You can have the look of expensive materials without the hassle of laying down individual tiles or planks. The realistic flooring graphics are printed on the underside of commercial-grade 75mil vinyl to provide protection from everyday wear and tear.

The preparation for installation is so much simpler than an epoxy-coated concrete floor, which can be time consuming and dependent on conditions for installation (humidity, temperature, dry-time, etc.). No more degreasing, etching, taping, drying and hoping it will stick, with Trinity Graphic G-Floor, simply unroll it onto the garage floor and trim the edges with a utility knife and you're done.

How durable is the flooring? Will the image ever wear away??

The G-Floor material is made of 100% polyvinyl and provides superior durability, easy maintenance and quick installation. Because the image is printed on the back side of the flooring and UV cured during printing, the image will last far longer than any other floor graphic material or paint.

Can this floor graphic be used indoors or outdoors?

Although most applications are for indoor environments, our G-Floor material is designed to withstand the rigors of most environments due to the unique construction of the materials.

For some applications, we can even apply an anti-slip later to the top and bottom for better traction in wet or damp environments.

What is Melinex and what applications can it be used for?

cup insert imageMelinex is a brand name for polyester film. You probably also know it as Mylar. This material can be used as a transparent sign, product insert or pretty much any thing you can think of. It can be printed on both sides and an additional layer of white ink may be used to add opacity to areas of your artwork. Here is one application that we print for one of our clients as an insert into their unique cup design.
